Global Bus Hire

Moving a group around Prague means dealing with an airport about 12 km from the centre, a compact Old Town full of sights, and strict limits on where buses can stop. Global Bus Hire provides private coach, minibus and bus hire with drivers, so your group travels together on its own schedule rather than splitting across taxis and trams.

Whether you are collecting delegates from Václav Havel Airport Prague, taking guests to a wedding at a historic palace or bringing a school party to Charles University's Faculty of Arts, tell us your plans and we will put together a tailored quote for the right vehicle.

Group transport services across Prague

Our coach and minibus hire in Prague covers every kind of group journey: airport transfers, wedding transport, corporate and event travel, sightseeing days, and school and university trips. Every booking comes with a professional driver who is fully licensed, experienced and trained in safety, hospitality and route efficiency.

Airport transfers are a regular part of group travel here. Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) is about 12 km from the city centre. Rail arrivals can be met near Main Station or Prague Masaryk Station, both about 1 km from the Old Town, and Central Bus Station Florenc is about 1.4 km away. Pick-up points, timings and waiting arrangements are agreed when you book.

For weddings and corporate events, we can carry guests between hotels, ceremony venues and receptions in a single coordinated run, or in several shuttles if your timings need it. Any extra requirements, such as multiple pick-ups or return legs late at night, can be discussed when quoting.

Minibuses, coaches and buses for every group size

Our fleet runs from an 8 seater minibus and a 16 seater minibus for small parties, through a 25 seater midi coach and 29 and 33 seater coaches, up to 49, 57 and 70 seater coaches for large groups. A double decker is also available for occasions that call for one.

Minibus hire suits family groups, executive teams and wedding parties of up to 16 people. Coach hire makes more sense for conference delegates, school trips and sports supporters, while executive and luxury coaches are available for corporate clients who want a higher standard of travel. If you are unsure which size fits your group and luggage, we will recommend options in your quote.

Use the table below to match your group size to a vehicle. Remember to allow space for luggage on airport transfers, and ask us if your numbers fall between two sizes.

Getting around Prague's venues, sights and campuses

Central Prague packs a huge amount into a small area. The Astronomical Clock, Old Town City Hall, Our Lady before Týn and the National Gallery in Prague at Kinský Palace all sit within about 100 metres of each other, alongside the Stone Bell House and the City of Prague Museum at the House at the Golden Ring. Clam-Gallas Palace and Millesimovský palác are only about 200 metres further on, making the area a natural focus for sightseeing and historic wedding venues.

For sport and live events, epet ARENA is about 1.4 km from the centre, FK Viktoria Žižkov about 1.7 km, Sportovní hala Fortuna and Incheba Arena between 2.3 and 2.4 km, Velký strahovský stadion about 2.5 km and HASA about 2.8 km away. A private coach keeps supporters or teams together on the way in and back out after the final whistle.

Conference organisers can use group transport for venues such as Prague Crossroads, Sál Josefa Zezulky, U Hájků and Krenovka, all within about 1.5 km of the Old Town. University groups are well served too: North Carolina State University's Prague Institute, Charles University's Faculty of Arts and the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague are all within about 400 metres of the centre.

Planning a group trip in Prague: access and driver rules

Buses cannot enter Prague's historic city centre unless an exception has been granted. Instead, tourist coaches use paid bus parking spots on the edge of the heritage area, where passengers get on and off. In practice, this means building a short walk into your itinerary between the coach and sights in the old centre.

Time at coach stops is limited. Short-term coach stops allow up to 15 minutes for passengers and luggage, so it helps to have your group ready at the agreed time. Long-term coach parking allows a vehicle to wait for up to 4 hours, which suits a guided walking tour or a concert while the coach waits.

Driving hours are regulated under EU rules. A driver's daily driving is normally capped at 9 hours, rising to 10 hours no more than twice a week. After 4.5 hours behind the wheel, breaks totalling at least 45 minutes are required, although a 2024 amendment allows some flexibility in arranging breaks and rest on occasional coach trips. Drivers also need at least 11 hours of regular daily rest, which can be reduced to 9 hours a limited number of times. For long day trips or late finishes, share your full timings so we can quote for a schedule that stays within these limits.

How groups use our Prague transport

  • Airport arrivals for conference delegates: A coach collects delegates from Václav Havel Airport Prague and takes them to their hotel or straight to a venue such as Prague Crossroads, with a return transfer arranged for departure day.
  • Wedding guest shuttles: A minibus or midi coach carries guests between hotels and a historic venue near the Old Town, using permitted coach stops at the edge of the heritage area.
  • School and university study visits: Visiting school or university groups travel together to campuses such as Charles University's Faculty of Arts or the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts, then on to museums and galleries.
  • Match days and arena events: Supporters' clubs and corporate hospitality groups travel by coach to epet ARENA, Velký strahovský stadion or Incheba Arena and back without splitting up.
  • Old Town sightseeing days: A coach drops the group at a bus parking area near the heritage zone, waits in long-term coach parking during a walking tour of the Astronomical Clock and Old Town City Hall, then collects everyone afterwards.
  • Rail and coach station connections: Groups arriving at Main Station, Prague Masaryk Station or Central Bus Station Florenc are collected and taken on to hotels or events with their luggage.
